AGF is a specialized manufacturer offering Japan's only full line of coffee products. We deal in instant coffee, ground coffee, and liquid coffee, and we have developed and nurtured four main brands: Blendy, Maxim, Marim, and AGF Gift.
Everyone has different tastes, and these tastes also change over time. In order to provide rich flavor and new value with a discretionary product like coffee, we obtain an accurate overview of market trends and pursue an active marketing program.
We make use of data on customers' tastes acquired over the long term and reflect this knowledge in our innovative products and in the coffee culture that our advertisements evoke. We bring our customers flavor and health through the medium of coffee, and the Research and Development Center is our means of keeping our products innovative and up-to-date.
The many varieties of coffee beans, grown in more than 60 countries around the world, each have their own characteristics, and their aromas comprise over 1,000 known components (and most likely some that are unknown, as well). We challenge ourselves on a daily basis to combine these components in different ways to discover flavors that are well suited to the Japanese culture and sensibilities.
At our laboratories, we study consumers' tastes and the healthy components found in coffee, and we develop the technology necessary to put the results of this research to work in our products, as well as packaging that is both environmentally friendly and convenient. The results of all this research come together in the products that we bring to market.
Our institute is an important base in the Kraft Foods global research and development network, and we form alliances with other laboratories around the world to announce and introduce international technological trends.

AGF invests a great deal of effort in sales to ensure reliable delivery of consistently high value-added products to our customers.
We understand the circumstances of our wholesalers and retailers, and we proactively provide backup for their efforts by designing sales programs that will resolve their issues.

In the course of our sales activities, we gain information about our customers' needs, issues, and wishes. We feed this information back into our marketing programs and research and development activities, and it serves as a driving force for continuous improvements in our products and services.
